A visit to Rome would be incomplete without a visit to the Vatican. Our wait to get in was around 30 to 40 minutes today with a reserved ticket. That was not too bad. We didn't get to see the big man with the funny hat at the Vatican. The rest of the day we basically relaxed and hang out at the hotel. I think I am finally getting used to the crowds, the traffic, auto exhaust fumes, and the heat. Our vacation is slowly coming to a close and I am getting ready to go home. At the end of every vacation I always come to appreciate what we have back in California.
Tonight was one of those nights I wish I had brought my tripod. I am going to take some night shots of the Pantheon which is just outside my window. There is always a crowd sitting on the steps of the fountain until after midnight. I may try to go out and use one of the tables as a base. There are about 5 people selling these "lighted up spinning thing" that goes up in the air in front of the Pantheon.
I took pictures of our dinner tonight. Before the kids went to bed, we drank the bottle of juice left over from Venice given to us by Franco.
