Florence is really a beautiful city despite what people say. Although it is expensive for us US tourists with the US dollar being so weak. The price for a bottle of water in the tourist areas is 4 to 5 times as much as what it costs in the outline areas.
We had planned to take the bus to Siena this morning but changed our minds and slept in late. We took it easy today and just walked around town and did a little shopping.
My daughter and I both had 12 consecutive spaghetti lunches and dinners in a row since we arrived in Italy as of tonight.
(Note to self: wear dark shirt and preferably red shirt next time traveling in Italy and eating spaghetti.)
This is our last night in Florence. We saw the African purse and watch sellers setting up their make shift stands and taking them down in seconds just when the police comes around the corner.
We are off to Rome in the morning.
