Our flight to Venice from LAX took just over 10 hours. I was able to watch 2 whole movies, Shooter and Eragon, and part of Night at the Museum and got some sleep. Each person has a personal LCD TV with a selection of movies, music, and games. There was one person who keeps laughing very loudly to himself probably watching some movie. It was funny. My son spilled an entire glass of apple juice into his shoe.
We changed plane in Frankfurt. The flight from Frankfurt to Venice took just over an hour. After arriving in Venice, we took a Water Taxi to our hotel, Hotel Savoia Jolanda. The trip cost 100 Euros for the 4 of us.
After a quick nap, we went out and had our first meal in Italy. I can eat spaghetti all day. Our hotel is located just a block for Piazza S. Marco and is facing the main street, Riva Schiavoni, with a great view S. Giorgio Maggiore. I had to remind my kids to use the toilet with the cover and not the toilet "without the cover."
